Swadlincote Police hail honesty of woman who handed in huge amount of money found in town car park

Swadlincote Police have revealed the honest actions of a woman who found £3,800 in a supermarket car park and handed it in.
Police say 'words cannot describe' her actions.
The envelope was found in Morrisons' car park in Swadlincote and the woman who discovered tried to find who it belonged to before taking it home.
It was only there that she discovered the contents and then took to the police station.
Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team explained what happened on their Facebook page.
The SNT wrote: "This is our honest community.
"Whilst walking through Morrisons car park a lady found an envelope.
"After making enquires which were negative, the lady took the envelope home.
"To her surprise the envelope contained £3800.
"She then reported the find to the police.
"The owner of the money has been located and it will be returned today.
"Words cannot describe this lady.
"Truly amazing and a very happy owner."
The person who lost the money lives in Rosliston.
Neighbour Brian Dixon posted on the This is Swad community page and said: "Just like to say thank you to whoever handed in the £3,800 pounds my neighbour lost in Swad yesterday - found in Morrisons car park and handed in to police station. Unbelievable."
