Swadlincote Police have uncovered a Cannabis factory at a house in Woodville.

And they have issued a message saying this is not the sort of activity that is allowed when people are asked to stay at home.

They discovered 40 Cannabis plants - plus cash - at the address in Court Street over the weekend.

Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team posted details of the find on their Facebook page on Sunday - along with photos of what was being grown in the house.

The police say a man has been 'dealt with' in connection with the plants and an intent to supply.

It is the latest in a series of drug-related incidents in the area which have been stopped by Swadlincote police.

A message on the Swadlincote SNT Facebook page reads: "When we are asking people to stay at home during lockdown, this is not what we expect you to be doing!

"Forty cannabis plants and a substantial amount of cash have been recovered from an address on Court Street, Woodville this weekend.

"One male has been dealt with for cultivation of cannabis and possession with intent to supply."
