Swadlincote police have caught a disqualified driver in Netherseal - with the help of his mother.

Police say they also found a substantial amount of cannabis also found in vehicle.

The driver's vehicle was seized and he was questioned about money the drugs found in the car.

Swadlincote SNT Tweeted about the incident on Wednesday afternoon.

They posted: "Disqualified driver spotted in Netherseal!

"Decamps and legs it into his house.

"Unfortunately for him his mum was lovely and let us straight in.

"Vehicle seized and male can account for the money and drugs in the vehicle during interview.

"Substantial amount of cannabis also found in vehicle."
