Swadlincote Police appeal for information after teenage boy was left with bleed on brain following Castle Gresley assault

A teenage boy was left with a bleed on the brain after being assaulted in Castle Gresley.

The incident is reported to have happened at around 6pm on January 29 near to the junction of Castle Road and Spring Street.

The victim required hospital treatment for facial fractures and a bleed on the brain following the assault.

Swadlincote Police say he has since been discharged and his injuries are not understood to be life threatening or changing.

It is believed he was assaulted by three teenage boys.

A 15-year-old and a 13-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of assault and have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team has issued an appeal and said: "If you were in the area at that time as have information which may support our investigation, please contact us quoting reference 22*57208.
