Swadlincote motorcyclist, 70, is named as man killed in A50 collision: Wife pays tribute to husband

A 70-year-old Swadlincote motorcyclist has been named as the man who died in a traffic collision yesterday (Tuesday).
Officers were called to the incident following reports that a motorcyclist was injured.
Robert Redfern was attended to by the air ambulance service, but sadly was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Mr Redfern's wife Jean said the following words about her husband: "Robert was a wonderful husband who I was married to for 45 years.
"He was kind, caring and hardworking and I am heartbroken.
"I would like to thank the kind members of the pubic that stopped to try and help him, I am very grateful."
The collision happened on the A50 exit slip road at junction 6, near Hilton. Callers reported an injured motorcyclist in the carriageway.
Officers were previously trying to trace the driver of a Citroen Grand C4 Picasso, this vehicle has now been eliminated from enquiries.
