A brand new indoor netball league is coming to the courts of Granville Academy in Woodville next month.

The league, run by Leagues4you, aims to get people off the couch and onto the court in 2021.

The new league is perfect for teams of all experience levels, meaning you do not need to be a netball aficionado to sign up.

Even if you have not played since school, you will be able to join in the netball fun.

One player who knows the transformative power of playing netball is Leagues4you player Marie.

"We were basically a bunch of middle aged mums, no-one knew each other - I was the common link. They were all pretty much forced to be in my team against their will! We hadn't played since school," she said.

"Now netball is life. We are a group of close friends, we text every day, we train on a Monday and we live for our matches!

"It's the best thing that has happened to us. We haven't won a single game, but have put our heart and soul into every one and have given the other team a good run for their money! We get better every game."

Everything for the league is organised, so you just need to bring yourself and your bibs.

All matches are indoors, meaning that players will still be able to get their weekly netball fix whatever the weather.

Players looking for an extra confidence boost can attend a Couch2Court session a week prior to the league's start.

There you will get a reminder of the rules, be able to practice some skills and drills, and meet other netball newcomers.

There is plenty of fun and games, plus a chance to show off your new netball skills in some mini matches.

The sessions are coach-led, so are perfect for anyone who needs a bit of a boost before the league.
