Evisa Personal Fitness Club in Swadlincote has been hit vandals just after re-opening its premises again following a four-month Coronavirus lockdown.
The club's owner and founder Scott Taylor called the actions 'pathetic'.
Scott posted a video clip on Sunday evening showing that a banner advertising Evisa had been pulled down close to the gym's base at Astron Business Park off Hearthcote Road.
He is trying to find out any information about who did it and whether it happened overnight on Saturday or during the day on Sunday. But passers-by have said the banner was still up just after mid-day on Sunday.
Scott said: "Vandalising property of a small family business and after a four month Lockdown is just pathetic.
"It was likely kids... but still not on.
"If anyone knows anything please let us know.
"I'm now going to have to spend 30 minutes on a Sunday evening taking this down when I should be putting my kids to bed.
"Then ordering new banners in the morning for hundreds of pounds. Well played.
"It ruins it for everyone but it won't stop us operating. It's quite sad.
"But we'll probably be without a banner for two or three weeks.
"We'll be contacting Tesco across the road as I know their CCTV does cover this banner which was ripped to shreds. It wasn't the wind.
"But let's stay positive and have a great week."

Scott said that the sign was put up to show that Evisa was open again after lockdown.
