Swadlincote Fire Crew Called Out After Gresley Woman Breaks Leg in Bathroom

Swadlincote Blue fire crew were called to help the ambulance service gain entry to a house in Church Gresley where a woman had fallen and broken her leg.

The incident happened at a property in Chestnut Green but East Midlands Ambulance Service were unable to get into the property.

When did they finally enter, they found a woman with a leg fracture and she was taken to hospital after being helped into an ambulance from her bathroom.

The Swadlincote crew were called at the request of the ambulance service to help the woman from the bathroom to the ambulance.

A Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "The woman is now in the care of the ambulance service and has a fractured leg. I would suggest she has now gone to hospital."
