Shotgun And Drugs Found At Church Gresley Address After Swadlincote Police Raid: Man Arrested And Charged

Swadlincote Police found drugs and a shotgun at an address in Church Gresley.

A man was arrested, charged and remanded in custody following the raid which they say was based on intelligence from the public.

Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team's Facebook page posted on Friday morning that the occupant of the property was dealt with by CID.

And they also posted photos of their find which the SNT said was down to officers nicknamed 'The Chuckle Brothers'.

The Swadlincote Police message reads: "SNT Chuckle Brothers attended an address in Church Gresley where a substantial amount of drugs and a shotgun were recovered .

The occupant was arrested and dealt with by the A Team CID.

"He has now been charged and remanded for these offences."

SNT Sgt Tarj Nizzer said: "This is the result of acting on intelligence we receive from the public.

"SNT have recovered a substantial amount of drugs and a shotgun which could possibly have been used for further criminality."
