This Police photo shows the public are using Foremark Reservoir - even though the area is still closed.

Last month, Police said that people had been ignoring signs clearly stating the Reservoir was not open.

Then, tape designed to stop people using the site had been broken Police make disappointing discovery at Foremark

And it seems the same problem emerged on Wednesday - the hottest day of the year so far - with Swadlincote Police attending.

Swadlincote's Safer Neighbourhood Team posted photos from Foremark clearly showing people using the facility at a time when it is still closed and under the Government's Coronavirus restrictions.

People are seen paddling in the water and sunbathing.

But the attraction will not open again until next month at the earliest - with restrictions in place.

Swadlincote SNT posted: "FOREMARK IS CLOSED

"Officers are currently out at Foremark, it seems a number of people have had issues reading the sign by the entrance after someone has clearly broken the tape again.

"Please do not go to Foremark until it is reopened."

A message on the Foremark Reservoir website makes it clear that no-one is allowed in at the moment.

It reads: "This visitor site is closed for now

"Following the latest Government guidelines that have lifted some of the restrictions on outdoor exercise and a travel, we're beginning to gradually reopen our visitor sites.

"We hope we will be able to reopen this site by early June, but we will only re-open sites when it is safe to do so.

"When the site is open again, there may be extra measures in place to protect your wellbeing and the safety of other visitors, the local community and our teams.

"If you visit this site when it eventually re-opens, please observe social distancing, check opening times, follow any new measures we put in place, and stay local. Do not travel long distances to visit the site."
