Police charge 19-year-old with possession of blade and cannabis after Newhall Park arrest

A 19-year-old man has been charged following a police in Newhall on Thursday which saw officers discovering he had a foot-long blade on him.

Thomas Brint is now set to appear at Crown Court for sentencing.

Swadlincote's Safer Neighbourhood Team posted details on their Facebook page.

The message says: "In relation to our post on March 4, where the Safer Neighbourhood Team detained a male on Newhall Park for carrying a knife Police arrest man following chase.

"Thomas Brint aged 19 was charged with possession of a bladed article, possession of cannabis and remanded by Group 3 LPU officers.

"Brint will appear at Crown Court at a later date for sentencing."
