Police And Firearms Team Uncover 'Large Scale Cannabis Grow' In Swadlincote House

Swadlincote Police and a firearms team discovered a large 'lockdown' cannabis grow in the town after executing a search warrant.

Officers raided the house in Midland Road and found the plants just as they would have been ready to have been prepared to be sold.

Swadlincote's Safer Neighbourhood Team reported the insolent on social media on Friday evening and saiid:

"Earlier today with the assistance of our firearms team we executed a warrant on Midland Road, Swadlincote.

"A large scale cannabis grow was discovered in the property which would have been another lockdown construction.

"The visit was completed just at the right time with the plants very nearly ready for cropping and selling on.

"Enquiries are continuing to identify the individuals responsible.

"Please continue passing us information via Crimestoppers and Facebook. We will always act on the information."
