Overseal Man Set For Court Appearance To Face Charges Of Assault, Controlling Behaviour and Animal Suffering

An Overseal man has been charged with a series of offences in two incidents in Swadlincote.

These involve alleged assaults, controlling behaviour and animal cruelty.

Derbyshire Police Public Protection Hub tweeted on Sunday that Paul Saunders will appear in court on Monday.

The post reads: "Paul Saunders, 40. of Gorsey Leys, Overseal, has been charged with alleged assaults, engaging in controlling behaviour, and causing suffering to an animal, in two separate incidents in Swadlincote.

"He has been remanded in custody to appear at court on Monday."
