Motorcyclist injured in Overseal collision

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after his vehicle was in collision with a car this lunchtime (Weds) in Overseal.

Derbyshire Police were alerted to the incident in Acresford Road at 12.45pm.

A fire crew from Swadlincote also attended and administered first aid and made the scene safe.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesman said: "The male motorcyclist was injured and taken to hospital by ambulance.

"The driver of the car was uninjured.

"Officers are still on scene and the road remains closed."
