Woodville Man In Hospital After He Was Trapped By Machinery And Freed By Swad Fire Services

Swadlincote fire crew were called out to an incident in Woodville where a man was trapped under machinery.

It happened in Swadlincote Road at around 10.20 on Monday morning - and the crew reported they extricated the man and assisted East Midlands Ambulance Service with the casualty before making the scene safe.

East Midlands Ambulance later confirmed they had been called out to a medical emergency at a private address in Woodville.

A statement said: "We sent an ambulance and transported one patient to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham."
