Man Facing Alleged Assault Charge After Incidents in Swadlincote

A South Derbyshire man has been charged with an alleged assault and controlling behaviour in Swadlincote.

Daniel Varey, of Foston is set for a court appearance next month.

A Tweet from Derbyshire Police Public Protection Hub on Sunday explained the charges.

The post reads: "Daniel VAREY, 42 of Foston has been charged with an alleged assault and controlling behaviour committed in Swadlincote from February this year.

"He is due to appear in court in July."
