Hospice Hope is organising a free wellbeing session this Saturday (17th July) at the National Forest in Moira.

The event, organised by Wild Minds, runs from 10am at Feanedock Covert, and is billed as the chance to 'immerse yourself in nature with fun and engaging activities'.

Hospice Hope is offering people the chance to re-connect with nature and find calm in the National Forest.

They say: "This type of activity is often called 'forest bathing' but has nothing to do with swimming costumes or getting wet - though we may be near some small streams – it is a term used to describe a practice developed firstly in Japan in the 1980s, where time was prescribed in nature to help reduce stress, anxiety and blood pressure.

"We offered our first session on the 19th June and received some wonderful feedback from those who attended.

"Maybe you, or someone you know may benefit from this – it could particularly benefit those who have been shielding, or worried about venturing out over this last year, as we hope to offer a safe space to enjoy the beauty of our local surroundings and feel more confident about getting back out.

"The session is run by Wild Minds, who have many years of experience in running these groups.

"The session is free and runs this Saturday at 10am for a couple of hours at the beautiful Feanedock Covert near Moira.

"Further details can be found HERE.
