Eight dachshunds stolen from village near Swadlincote: Police issue appeal

Eight dachshunds have been stolen from a house at village close to Swadlincote.
Derbyshire Police are appealing for information after the dogs were stolen from a property in Burton Road, in Acresford.
Five male and three female dogs - which are all miniature wire-haired dachshunds - were taken from the property between midnight and 9.15am today (Thursday).
Anyone with any information about the whereabouts of the dogs is asked to contact Derbyshire police using any of the below methods, including reference 20*084142:
A social media post from the owner Shelley Tomsett says: "Eight Miniature Wire Dachshunds stolen from kennels today.

"PLEASE SHARE FAR AND WIDE: I feel sick to my stomach having to post this.
"A couple of them were very nervous dogs and would be terrified right now.
"They broke through fence panels and smashed glass, used a dog catcher pole which they left behind, luckily there is CCTV which we are going through now but PLEASE let's make them too hot to handle !!
