Coronavirus: Swadlincote Police Say Bank Holiday Drivers Are Still 'Flouting the Corvid-19 Guidelines'

Swadlincote Police say they have caught motorists driving 20 miles to visit closed-off attractions - despite Government orders to stay at home unless your journey is essential.
Current rules around the Coronavirus outbreak mean people are not allowed to use the Easter Holidays as an excuse for needless car trips.
But Swadlincote's Safer Neighbourhood Team posted on their Facebook page on Friday that - while most people are staying put - there have been some exceptions.
And they have even caught some drivers who have no insurance or even a driving licence.
Swadlincote SNT's post read: " Today we've been out patrolling, as usual, all over South Derbyshire.
"The team want to say a big thank you to everybody who is abiding by the current advice and staying at home unless they absolutely have to go out.
"We're sad to say that there are still a few who are flouting the guidelines and driving 20 miles to walk at beauty spots which have big visible signs saying they are shut.
"These haven't been shut for any reason other than all of our safety and health.
"Remember, we are all in this together and we will continue to pursue those who ignore the guidelines which are there for one reason - TO KEEP US ALL SAFE.
"We've attached a few photos from our day - the good, the bad...and the illegal. If you drive around without insurance, or even a licence, expect your vehicle to be seized. No excuses."
