Coronavirus Spread: Police Chief Postpones Swadlincote Community Meeting

Hardyal Dhindsa, Derbyshire's Police and Crime Commissioner, has postponed his upcoming meetings due to the Coronavirus situation.

And that means his planned visit to Midway later this month is now off.

Mr Dhindsa had planned to attend the March 26 meeting to give an update on how he has tackled community problems in the Swadlincote area Crime Commissioner To Address Community Problems

It was part of a series of feedback events to let the public know what is happening having listened carefully to their concerns across the county.

But they have now had to be put back because of the Coronavirus spread What Swad Needs To Know

Mr Dhindsa announced: "With immediate effect, all my public meetings have been postponed until further notice. The health of our residents must come first and foremost.

"Anyone who wishes to contact me can still do so via telephone, email or social media but we must be responsible and do what we can to mitigate the spread of this virus.

"I will review the position in the coming weeks, taking into account all the latest advice from the experts."
