A bride climbed a six-foot metal fence at Foremark Reservoir in her wedding dress - with her groom - for a photoshoot.
Swadlincote Police have been issuing warnings in a bid to stop anti-social behaviour at the South Derbyshire tourist attraction.
Following a number of problems at Foremark over the past year - especially in hot weather - an 850-feet long fence was erected to try and keep people away from the shoreline.
But it has already been damaged by vandals.
And Swadlincote's Safer Neighbourhood Team have been highlighting some of the problems caused by visitors.
That included the newly-weds, as they explained: "To the bride who scaled a six-foot metal fence in a wedding dress with her groom in toe for a photography session on the reservoir's shoreline – what were you thinking?
"With no respect for the newly-constructed safety barriers, these newly-weds, along with a professional photographer, clambered over a restricted enclosure and descended to a sandy area to pose for some matrimonial snaps.
"The team will not be sending any wedding present maybe a Community Protection Warning Notice not to return for 12 months - so no anniversary meeting!
"For the avoidance of doubt, Foremark Water is not the set of a Maldives wedding backdrop – it is a working reservoir and the barriers are there for a reason.
"Your Safer Neighbourhood Team has been working with Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and Severn Trent Water rangers to teach people about the dangers of going near the toxic waters at the location."
The SNT also listed a number of other incidents at a venue which seems to attract trouble.
They added: "To the gangs of young people who broke through the metal fences, damaging security fittings, before holding an impromptu party on a beach area – what were you thinking?
"Rangers attended the reservoir this morning and were greeted with heaps of rubbish, including barbecues, alcohol bottles and fast-food wrappers.
"Officers are now issuing a warning of the dangers of the very cold, deep and algae-infested waters, which contains many unseen obstacles below, and also to the potential impact on lower reproductive parts due to the presence of significant concentrations of alkaline in the water.
"To the doughnut-driving clowns who enjoy rotating the rear of their vehicles at car parks near these reservoirs, creating a circular skid-mark pattern of rubber on the tarmac – what were you thinking?
"Despite the widely-known dangers of tires emitting smoke from the mechanical friction, there has been a recent increase of this antisocial behaviour.
"Anyone caught driving in this manner will be immediately issued with a Section 59 Warning Notice under the Police Reform Act (2002). And if we see you doing it again in the next 12 months we will seize your vehicle.
"Officers Bob, Foggy and the team will be patrolling the roadways between Ticknall and Milton and the parks in Swadlincote in the coming days, and anyone seen throwing litter on residents' driveways or on public spaces will be told to pick it up or be fined.
"And the worst offenders can expect to be obligated to take part in a forthcoming organised litter pick. Your Safer Neighbourhood Team will also have their fixed penalty notices ready for drivers who think it is acceptable to illegally park, with no consideration for other roads users, on double yellow lines.
"And finally, to those visitors who think it is acceptable to hurl abuse at rangers at the reservoir – think twice, as firm action will be taken."
The police said the warm spell of weather is not an excuse to get on the wrong side of the law.
They added: "With temperatures expected to reach a scorching 30 degrees over the next few days, your Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is issuing an appeal today for visitors to reservoirs in South Derbyshire to respect the countryside and avoid antisocial behaviour.
"Officers will be conducting increased patrols at Foremark Reservoir and all the park's on what could be some of the hottest days of the year so far.
"The last time the mercury hit these sizzling levels on a sweltering Sunday afternoon in June, police were required to respond to a series of shameful acts, which mirrored the chaotic scenes of the popular ITV comedy, Benidorm."
