Anti-Social Behaviour In Swadlincote Raises Concerns

The Safer South Derbyshire Partnership are worried about anti-social behaviour in Swadlincote.
They say they are working Police and stores in the town to try and highlight the problem.
The Partnership, brings together agencies to reduce and prevent incidents of crime and anti-social behaviour in the district, says: "Youths on bikes are causing a nuisance around Swadlincote
"The Police and Council have received a number of reports of a large group of teenagers riding their bikes and scooters around Swadlincote Town centre without due care and attention and causing Anti-social behaviour around the Belmont St Business Park - outside Halfords, Lidl and McDonalds.
"Reports have been received regarding the group throwing bottles at each other, ramming trollies at the store walls, pulling wheelies and riding dangerously close to pedestrians and cars and being abusive to staff and customers.
"We are liaising with the stores and Police are increasing patrols but if you have any information regarding the group please email [email protected]."
Swadlincote Police added: "We have had several reports of youths riding bikes around the McDonald's area of Swadlincote.
"Please continue to report this via 101 so that officers can attend and deal with them at the time.
"If your child or children are biking around and causing nuisance please ask them to refrain from this behaviour as action will be taken to tackle anti-social behaviour."
