Woodville to Swadlincote Regeneration Route 'to be completed this month'

The completion of the new Woodville to Swadlincote Regeneration Road is now less than a month away.

But there will still be some ongoing roadworks in the meantime.

Overnight work to re-surface the A514 Derby Road and surface the new roundabout, will be conducted on 13th, 14th, and 15th September.

Road markings will be completed on 15th, 16th,17th and 18th September.

The surfacing and road marking will require overnight closure of A514 Derby Road, between 7pm

and 6am.

No works are planned on Occupation Lane during September.

But the contsructors ask the public to please note that the new link road is only to be used for accessing the businesses on Kiln Way, it is not yet public highway.

There is no through route to Woodhouse Street and Derby Road.

This is now the timetable for completion.

  • New Link Road fully completed – expected late September 2021

  • Completion of Kiln Way section - expected late September 2021

  • Completion of Derby Rd section - expected late September 2021

Constructors ask that people observe the 10mph speed limit, and drive with consideration for the workforce if using the new road.
