Since the easing of lockdown restrictions that have allowed sectors of the business community to reopen, a Swadlincote-based leisure business has spoken of an increase in custom that has helped get it back on track after a torrid year.
Since March 29, Swadlincote Snowsports Centre has re-opened for business - and a busy period saw its regular Easter Camps operate, along with ski development sessions and the popular Toboggan run.
All of which has brought the customers back in.
Ski Coordinator Andy Rushton also believes the benefit of being an outdoor activity has helped their business get back up and running quickly, along with the safety measures that have been put in place.
"We have seen a big increase in business since we were able to reopen a couple of weeks ago," he said.
"Being an outdoor sports and activities centre we have benefited hugely from the fact that people just want to be outdoors now.
"Feedback from customers has also been nothing but positive, both from what activities we provide and how Covid safe we are."
The Snowsports Centre, part of the John Nike Leisuresport group that operates four centres around the UK, is also bucking the trend with the Swadlincote Centre looking to recruit staff ahead of an anticipated further increase in the run-up to the summer.
