Swadlincote Police are continuing their clampdown on anti-social behaviour in the area with increased patrols in Newhall Park.

Officers will have a presence at the park during the evening after reacting to reports.

The Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team's Facebook page says there is a real concern about behaviour in the area.

Sgt Tarj Nizzer said: "Positive action will be taken against anyone causing Anti-Social Behaviour or breaching Covid 19 regulations."

The police are also appealing to the parents of youths causing problems in the area - and possibly breaching coronavirus rules.

And their social media post says: "Due to the recent Anti-Social Behaviour being reported patrols are being stepped up throughout the night with help of out brilliant response & ASB officers.

"The parents of these youths causing anti-social behaviour need to take some responsibility for their children and ask themselves where are their children at night, are they causing ASB or breaching Covid-19?.

"We have some of the best parks in the country and they are for everyone to enjoy, we all have a responsibility to keep it this way.

"So please ask the questions of your children before we do."
