A sneak thief stole jewellery from a Woodville house - while the owner was still at home.

Derbyshire Police have released photos of the items that were taken in the hope they can be recovered.

The incident happened last week and police have made an appeal for information.

A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said: "Sometime between 4pm and 5.30pm on Thursday, June 10, a thief sneaked into a house in Hartshorne Road, while the homeowner was inside.

"They took a pair of gold Dior earrings, similar to the silver set pictured here.

"They also took a rose gold clasp bracelet and a Chanel J12 watch with a white gold face and rose gold strap.

"We appreciate the image quality is low, but they may be enough to help us trace them and reunite them with their owner.
