A car crashed into a Newhall property yesterday evening (Friday) - wrecking the outside wall.

The incident involved two vehicles in High Street - and the road was closed off as a result of the collision.

As the South Derbyshire Response Unit's photo shows, one of the cars came close to hitting the property itself.

Both vehicles were eventually taken away on trucks and the road opened up to traffic again.

South Derbyshire Response Unit tweeted about the incident during the evening, but the messages did not report any injuries as a result of the collision.

The tweet reads: "Group 1 officers are currently dealing with a Road Traffic Collision on High Street, Newhall.

"Please avoid the area until the road is open.

"One vehicle ended up in a wall

"Both vehicles now collected by Burrows Recovery and the road is re-opened."
