Coronavirus: Work Starts On New NHS Covid-19 Assessement Centre In Swadlincote

Work began on Wednesday at the new NHS Covid-19 Assessment Centre in Swadlincote.

It was announced on Tuesday that the centre would be positioned on the car park next to Swadlincote bus station, off Civic Way Covid-19 Assessment Centre is being set up in Swadlincote

But Woodville conpany James Dean Events had already hinted at what was on the way on Sunday when they offered to donate festival equipment for free to help the NHS set up the facility James Dean Events donates equipment to the NHS

And they on site when work on setting up the centre began just three days later.

James Dean Events posted photos from the site on its Facebook page and said: "Our team is now hard at work building a Covid-19 assessment centre in Swadlincote.

"James Dean Events are donating all of our equipment and resources to build the NHS Site.

"We have also had a number of local companies and contractors donate their time and resources, so a massive thanks to those too.

"The money the NHS has saved by all these donations can now be spent on PPE and front line staff."
