Air Ambulance Called After Woman Hit By Car In Swadlincote

An air ambulance was called out to Newhall Road in Swadlincote on Sunday afternoon after a woman was hit by a car and taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.

East Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed on Monday that they were called out to the incident involving a pedestrian at around 2.27pm.

A statement read: "We sent a doctor in a car, a road ambulance and an air ambulance.

"One patient was take to the Queen's Medical Centre via road ambulance."

Derbyshire Police say the woman was hit by a Renault Megane, but no arrests were made and the injuries were not through to be life-threatening.
